What does the album title Dirty Gold mean ?”, “Just how I feel about people. You have to mine it, find it in certain places. It comes with the dirt, it comes with everything, but once you clean it all off, it’s beautiful.
And I don’t know how to drive, I make my driver get high,
But If he goes under that 110, believe my driver gettin’ fired.

Teenagers truly represent the future and identity of a country. There’s an unmissable sincerity coming from their look, behaviour and actions which cannot be found in adults.
I’m not going to censor myself to comfort your ignorance.

THE WOLRD USED TO BE SILENT
NOW IT HAS TOO MANY VOICES
AND THE NOISE IS A CONSTANT DISTRACTION
THEY MULTIPLY, INTENSIFY
THEY WILL DIVERT YOUR ATTENTION TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT
AND FORGET TO TELL YOU ABOUT YOURSELF
WE LIVE IN AN AGE OF MANY STIMULATIONS
IF YOU ARE FOCUSED YOU ARE HARDER TO REACH
IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED YOU ARE AVAILABLE
YOU ARE DISTRACTED
YOU ARE AVAILABLE
YOU WANT FLATTERY
ALWAYS LOOKING TO WHERE IT’S AT
YOU WANT TO TAKE PART IN EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO BE A PART OF YOU
YOUR HEAD IS SPINNING FAST AT THE END OF YOUR SPINE UNTIL YOU HAVE NO FACE AT ALL
AND YET
IF THE WORLD WOULD SHUT UP
EVEN FOR A WHILE
PERHAPS
WE WOULD START HEARING THE DISTANT RHYTHM OF AN ANGRY YOUNG TUNE – AND RECOMPOSE OURSELVES
PERHAPS
HAVING DECONSTRUCTED EVERYTHING
WE SHOULD BE THINKING ABOUT PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER
SILENCE YOURSELF
— savages “silence yourself”
Nobody can save you but
Yourself
And you’re worth saving.
It’s a war not easily won
But if anything is worth winning then
This is it.
— charles bukowski “nobody but you”
Sure, well that’s the thing. People get pissed at the film and stuff, and it’s like why does everybody need it to deliver a message about really obvious things … don’t you know that killing is bad? Why do you need me to tell you what to think all the time? Why can’t you just dream on it? Why are people so scared of going to places where they’re forced to reconcile what they know or come up with their own feelings or forge their own connections? People get pissed when it’s not all one way, when someone’s not all bad or all good. But that is not interesting to me. It’s too easy to judge people and condemn people.

It’s not important for me to be reminded of who I am. I’ve never felt the need to do those things. I don’t understand people’s compulsions to network, to be social, to be part of a group or join in. All I ever wanted to do was join out. It doesn’t make sense to me.

She’s like smoke: you think you’re seeing her clearly enough, but when you reach for her, there’s nothing there.
